THE COMPANY.

Apache was formed by Rodney Ison who has spent over 20 years in sales and marketing, much of which involved worldwide travel. It is that knowledge of the requirements of the traveller and the tourist that prompted Rodney to launch the Pocket Guide series. He realised that there was a need for a good factual guide book, updated annually, preferably free, that would fit in the pocket and was readily available to every visitor to the area.

The first guide to Jersey was an immediate success Apache has now grown to have its own design and graphic department, together with its own distribution, sales, and printing.

It was then decided to set up a satellite operation in Guernsey and with this proving successful Apache were ready to establish similar publications in the U.K via franchisees.

We are now looking at establishing franchises in the United Kingdom with a number   already operational and in the future we shall be looking at the rest of the world along the lines of Master Franchisees.

Our Franchise Consultant in the U.K., Michael Baillet, who is well known & respected having been involved with franchising for over 15 years, and can be contacted directly on his mobile 0402 504 740 or Office No: 01444 443510.

THE MARKET

Tourists of all shapes and sizes are hungry for information on the area that they are visiting at the same time the tourism industry is very keen to pass this information on. It is the need for a suitable publication that is the driving force behind our guides. The guides are available in every hotel, guest house and tourist attraction for the start of the tourist season. They are eagerly awaited by hoteliers and advertisers alike.

THE BENEFITS.

We have a policy that a ratio of 40 to 50 per cent editorial to advertising is maintained throughout our guides. This is an extremely high ratio of editorial as some tourist guides can be as high as 96% advertising. This means that not only will your product be profitable it will be well received by the tourists that use it. There are many benefits to investing in an Apache franchise some of these are as follows:

THE FRANCHISE PACKAGE.

The Franchise package includes:

Excellent Earnings Potential.

All businesses need hard work and an Apache franchise is no exception, but at the end of your first year, you will have launched your first publication and earned a salary of between £20-25,000. If it's going to be a husband and wife team, or with a partner then the potential is naturally greater and Apache will be able to show you how to increase the income for your team.

Franchise investment

From the start of the sales team selling on your area territory there will be an income for you of a percentage of the space deposit, with further income when the artwork  has been signed off. The balance of your income is split with 50% paid once the publication has been delivered to you and the remainder after you have completed distribution of the publication.

Hence there is a requirement, not only for the up front franchise fee of £5,000 to £10,000, but also sufficient funding to meet your monthly requirements albeit relatively insignificant as you will be working from home . It is often possible to obtain bank or building society loans and you may be eligible for an enterprise allowance or fee support if you have been unemployed for more than 3 months, on the basis of a career development loan.
