Whitbread Pub Partnerships (WPP) is a division of
Whitbread PLC which is one of the leaders in the U.K
leisure market. The Company has a wide spread of
interests that include restaurants, pubs and brewing and
has an annual turnover in excess of £2.5 billion.
The Company owns some of the best known brands such as
Beefeater, Brewers Fayre, Pizza Hut and TGI Fridays,
which make Whitbread the second biggest eating out
operator in Britain. It is these retail skills that
provide the platform and experience to help our licensees
build their businesses.

WPP is responsible for over 2000 pubs that are
partially tied to the Company for product purchases, and
aims to work in partnership with it's lessees to create
healthy pub businesses. Critical to this success is the
quality and skills of the independent business people who
recognise the excellent commercial opportunities that are

determination to continue to be the best leased pub
retailer in the U.K by working closely with licensees to
help them develop and build their businesses to be the

Support
Our award winning support package enables you to
maximise your potential with the business and minimise
the risk taken. Our Nation-wide network of Business
Development Managers (BDM) have the best ratio of
BDM/Licensee in the leased pub sector at 1:35. This
enables regular meaningful contact and the provision of
real expertise in all business building areas.
All our partners have access to our large corporate
buying power. This enables us as a group to negotiate the
best prices for a wide range of goods and service. This
enables everyone to benefit from lower overheads.
Training
Our comprehensive induction course and continuous
training leads to Associate membership of The British
Institute of Innkeeping, the Food Hygiene Certificate and
a recognised training award. WPP also was the first
national pub lease company to achieve NVQ accreditation
and has recently achieved the investors in people
standard. This all adds up to our licensees being up to
date in any industry developments and having the most
comprehensive training possible.
Security and Flexibility
The WPP package can be designed to suit your
experience and financial situation. Most Licensees take
our 20 year lease option which provides security with the
flexibility to assign the lease after 3 years. For those
licensees who prefer a shorter term from the outset a 5
year agreement is available.
